Lune - Croissanterie - Melbourne

People who know me know that I stand in line for only three things—only one of which is still relevant (standing in line for temple darshans), with the other two (train and movie ticket bookings) becoming obsolete thanks to technology! - NEVER for food!!

I made a rare exception for this. 

LUNE, over the last 5–8 years, has earned recognition as one of the best croissanteries in the world. Motivated by my high school buddy Sharan, who had joined me in Melbourne for the Boxing Day Test, we decided to brave an early, cold (yes, summer!) 13 C morning to give it a try.

We arrived at 6:45 AM and were already 4th in line—wow! Normally, the place opens at 7:30 AM, but being the holiday season (27th December), we learned we’d have to wait another 30 minutes. While waiting, we checked the menu on their website and already knew what we were going for: five croissants (two each and one to share).
