UB City Amphitheatre

An outdoor amphitheatre at UB City on a lovely, cool November night was the perfect setting for our second Candlelight Concert of 2025. Read here for the previous show on Rahman's songs.

It couldn’t have been easy to pick 10–12 Arijit Singh songs, but the selection had good variety and suited the instruments beautifully. Dilip was the star of the evening, no doubt. His unpredictability and improvisations kept Ila and Vishak on their toes throughout. The percussion section brought great energy too. Overall, a very good performance.

The audience participated wholeheartedly, with many humming or singing along. Of course, there were the usual rule-breakers (no videos or pictures until the last 10 minutes!), but on the whole it was a well-behaved, appreciative crowd that was generous with applause. A lovely night.
