Agni, directed by Rahul Dholakia (Parzania, Raees) is to my knowledge the first Hindi film that focusses on Firefighters. Vithal Surve (Pratik Gandhi) is a dedicated fire station chief. His brother in law is Samit Sawant (Divyendu Sharma ), a cop who is a media and politico darling.

Vithal leads his team in countless perilous rescues, minus the reward or recognition that the charismatic Samit seems to enjoy. Even Vithal's own son idolises Samit, which fuels his frostiness towards Samit and they are Fire and Ice.

Avni (Saiyami Kher), while conducting a forensics survey on the recent fire incidents, observes a pattern in the incidents and brings it to Vithal's notice . Much to their dislike, Vithal and Samit are on different sides of the investigation which they  eventually have to come together and solve.

The support cast of Sai Tamhankar (as Vithal's wife and Samit's elder sister) and Jitendra Joshi (Mahadev) along with Saiyami Kher do a splendid job. Pratik Gandhi is such a good actor, playing yet another character with his trademark sincerity. Divyendu looks the part and his scenes bring the humor in the film.

Agni aims to bring the heroism of firefighters to the forefront, much like Rohit Shetty's films celebrate the police. While somewhat formulaic in its approach, the movie is engaging one-time watch thanks to its decent premise, short run time, strong performances and the focus on an underrepresented profession.
