Disclaimer - Disturbing Gore, Violence against children (implied, not shown on camera)
The poster of the film on Netflix showcases Vikrant Massey alone - but if you choose to watch the movie (you can, if you like the genre), you will know why i chose this particular image.
- A Ramlila sequence that becomes a chase bookended by a stunning imagery, which ignites Deepak Dobriyal's character into the investigation.
- The taut and tense interrogation sequence - Vikrant Massey really comes into his own - he talks and talks, while you see shock and disbelief and a WTF look in Dobriyal's eyes , superb.
- Frankly - this is the movie!.
Until the interrogation sequence, Massey looks out of depth and very forced, clearly needing more seasoning as an actor. Clocking just above 2 hours - this is a quick watch. Disappointingly though, everything falls into place, everything is answered , everything resolves itself, its all there for you to see.
Such a shame with the immense material available, this could have been easily shot as a 4 episode limited series, which could have explored the characters, drawn this out a little more and definitely added more thrill!
