Terry Richmond  (Aaron Pierre) , an ex Marine is shown cycling in the middle of no where, when he is accosted by cops. As they conduct a search on him, he is revealed to be carrying 30k USD in cash, which Terry reveals he wants to use to bail out his cousin who is an undertrial and use the rest to settle him down in life. The corrupt cops have no two ways about it and cease the money and let him go.

The following day Terry reports the crime to the county police only to realise that the entire station is a corrupt enterprise led by Chief Sandy Burnne ( Don Johnson).  How Terry tries to "De escalate" and bring down the network of corruption is what the movie is about.

There is simmering tension (accentuated by the score) running through out. You are waiting for fuse to run out and the dynamite to explode into some action, which is not as much  one would want!.  Aaron Pierre looks the part and brings the bulky presence. It is somewhat a "Jack Reacher", a little bit of Rambo,  sliding somewhere in between to eventually be a  decent late night watch. Especially if you like the  one man army kinds!
