A Killer Paradox - Korean / Crime, Drama / 8 episodes - avg 50 mins, Netflix

A young "nobody" man (Lee Tang)  accidentally ends up killing a middle aged man, in a scuffle outside the store where he works part time. The cop (Jang Ngam)  has almost nailed the kid, who is resigned to his fate and waiting to be caught...and as luck would have it - there is no evidence against the Lee Tang,, all circumstantial evidence turns up that the dead man had died in a  scuffle with another scuffle....and even better, the man who Lee Tang kills is actually a most wanted serial killer !

As would always happen, someone who had seen Lee Tang committing the crime that night...and blackmails him. As Lee Tang ends up killing this blackmailer accidentally -  Yet again - no evidence and the blackmailer has actually committed two murders!

Lee Tang seems to now believe that he has been given a gift to end lives of undiscovered criminals ...As things unravel, other key characters are introduced - including  Song Chon, who seems  share Lee Tang's gift! . We know have  two "Dexter"s (from the famous crime show which had a similar lead character premise) ...is this a coincidence or something beyond! -

Honestly - the first three episodes keep you hooked , making you wonder how Lee Tang can be so lucky! As Song Chon gets introduced and his motivations and back story is revealed -  the show slacks a little bit towards the middle -  However, the show reaches a very satisfying conclusion when the three main characters Lee Tang, Song Chon and Jang Ngam hurtle towards each other  in the last 60 odd minutes of the show.

You have to appreciate the writing, infusing novelty in a time tried serial killer drama trope, while it could have been so much better - it still ends up being a good one time watch - if you like this genre and have time (Korean shows/drama take their time, you know that:)).
